As far as I can remember, Art was always an outlet to express my feelings. It gave me more freedom than words - whether I was drawing, painting or taking pictures. This interest in building spaces had been shaped and influenced by the various countries I lived in. Thus, I have a wide scale of examples to inspire my work.
After my bachelor degree, I aim to work in an architectural practice in the residential & hospitality sector for a year in order to develop my skills. People might not realize how a space can affect our moods. My goal is to design environments with human-centered projects and sustainable materials. I want to sensibilize people about the relationship between buildings and happiness.
Inspiration
The Menier Chocolate Factory will be transformed to become a well-being center, a place where people can escape the poor air quality of London. Our goal is to improve people’s health & breathing. The center offers different hammams inhaled with essential oils. They can provide respiratory disinfection, decongestant, and psychological benefits. Patients will be treated according to their needs. Everything will be home made from the plants to the final product in our patients’ hands.
The making process of essential oils will be entirely made in a distillery and careful use by professionals from the Royal Academy of Physicians. A green garden will be added to the building to grow plants and flowers useful for the hammams. After their inhalation, our patients can enjoy a beverage in our Tea room.
Materials
3D printed concrete is a sustainable material made of cement, fibers and other ingredients mixed in with water. It is resistant to different stressors such as heat, water and corrosive chemicals. It can withstand temperatures up to 70 degrees. Faster than the traditional methods, it produces less waste as it precisely fabricates the object layer by layer. Complex forms and habitats can be designed in just a few hours!
